Vibrant hand-painted ceramic tile titled “Kremlin” (Кремль), created in 1978 at Art Workshop No. 1, Orëkhovo-Zuyevo, under the Art Fund of the RSFSR. This officially sanctioned Soviet art cooperative produced limited-edition enamel panels celebrating national landmarks and architectural heritage.
Rendered in bold enamel reds, blues, and golds, the piece depicts Moscow’s iconic Kremlin towers and domes in a stylized, modernist composition. Original brass frame and factory label on reverse, signed and dated by the artist (Kalyuzhnaya).
Measures approx. 6″ square. Excellent condition with bright glaze and minimal wear. A striking example of late-Soviet decorative art blending folk tradition and modern design.
