Wow! Feast your eyes on this beauty! Fenton Lavender Purple Satin Glass Lily Pad Compote Pedestal Lidded Dish! In all the years of collecting, this is the only lavender set I have ever seen. I purchased this for my collection and now may be willing to part with it. This is lavender neodymium glass, which was only produced by Fenton for about a year in the late 70's. It's cool because it can appear to be different colors in different lighting, but it is not technically UV reactive because it lacks any radioactive elements. Photos taken in natural light, sunset, and under UV light. It has a lovely Lily pad raised design on both lid and compote. Displays beautifully in both sunlight and in indoor light. Has a wonderful shade of soft powdered lavender and sometimes looks a little pinkish in different lighting. This is why Fenton will always be highly regarded - for making these wonderful pieces with great depth and detail. The lid does contain the Fenton logo. Diameter 6 inches, Height 7.5
